Shocking weight gainers

You are what your food eats

Some meats are full of the hormones that the animals
are given to help them grow and fatten up,
which in turn has the same result on us.

Diet drinks

According to plenty of studies, people
who drink diet sodas are more likely to becoming obese,
despite the drinks not having any calories.
They are usually sweet due to artificial sweeteners
which can lower your metabolism.

Lack of sleep
When you don’t get the regular 8 hours sleep,
the hormones that regulate appetite are
unsettled and our metabolism slows right down.
There have been multiple studies
that have found that if you sleep less, you weight more.

Skipping meals

You need food to fuel your metabolism.
When you skip a meal, your metabolism slows.
When you next eat, it then isn’t working at
its optimum and doesn’t burn the food as efficiently.
Your body also starts to store fat when
you deprive it of food on a regular basis.

Thyroid

While it is rare to find someone who is overweight
due to an underactive thyroid,
however, it affects a person’s metabolism
making it slightly resistant to weight gain and
it works at a slower rate in comparison to
the level of appetite which the brain sets.

Age

Unfortunately, with age, comes weight gain.
This is because muscle turns to fat
and the metabolism starts to slow down.
